Phone photos

Hello everybody,

At the forum of Scrapplezier there was a challenge. The sketch was so adorable that i decided to join in.

This is the sketch:

I chose 2 photos of my daughter wich she made with here phone while she was waiting in the car. I used the Rondelle papers again from Prima. I really like working with these papers.

I did some handstitching around the page, but this was really the last time i did this! It is so time consuming, the next time i am going to use my sewing machine again. The photo is matted on currogated cardboard that i painted white with acrylic paint.  As you can see in the detail photo's i used a lot of popdots to make the lo dimensional. The flower shape i cut out by hand and i backed the papers behind them. On the circle on the photo i heat embossed with a scriptstamp and black distress embossing powder. Ofcourse some stickles, liquid pearls and gesso to finish the page. And...... it was hard, but no flowers on this page as embellishments.

Next time i will show you a layout with the nature garden papers from Prima. I am really addicted lately to the Prima stuff.

Hope you all have a nice week!

Vintage/Shabby Memory Frame

Hello everyone,

A little time ago i saw a beautiful frame on you tube, made by Julianna Montoya ( Iluvvintagescrap).
I decided to scraplift it and made it out of a photoframe. My husband took the glass out and attached chickenwire to the back. I then painted the frame with white acrylic paint and i have put some gesso on it (with my woodgrain stencil). I have vintage photo's on the frame right now but you can hang photos or small memorabilias on it with the clothpins. This were normal clothpins wich i altered with the prima papers (Rondelle collection) and some flatback pearls.

Then i layered some flowers cut from the papers on the frame together with embossed little frames with small stamps on it and pearl brads and flourishes. The butterflies and bird are also from the papercollection.  The big flower on the top i made myself with lace and a doily.  All the edges are distressed and coloured with black sooth distressink.

In the Rondelle collection from Prima you can find gorgeous embellishments. I really liked the charmes but i thought they were really expensive, so with the help from my hubby i made the bottlecapcharm myself.

I love the Rondelle collection and can't wait to make more projects with it. I also bought the older nature garden collection papers from Prima and i am now working on a layout with this papers. Prima makes the most beautiful scrap items!

I wish you all a great day!

Minialbum: Aelderholt

Hello everyone,

Today i will share a minialbum with you that i made about a half year ago. There are still no pictures in it, but i will do that soon. It is a minialbum i have made from scratch using cardstock as pages and chipboard for the covers. Almost every page includes a pocket witch hold tags. I did a lot of fussycutting, embossing and stamping on this one. You will also see many vintage images i have downloaded from the internet.

The big butterfly i made my self from ribbons and beads. Very fun to do. I love making this minialbums but they are really time consuming. I have planned to begin another one soon with the new prima papers i got. But this will be a paperbag album. Never made one before so it is gonna be a challenge!. I am currently working on a frame that i will share with you later this week. Lot's of prima papers and vintage images!

I hope you all have a nice sunday!

Eat and growing fast

Goodmorning everyone,

On this beautiful day here in the Netherlands i thought i would show you a layout i made about my son and one of his best friends. They have a lot in common but one of the hobby's they share is eating. As they are 9 years old, and growing fast they are hungry almost all day long! How many times a day i am asked: what do we eat? can i have noodlesoup? Can i get a banana?

For me it is always a challenge to create a boys layout, and as i have a son i have to scrap them regularly. I think the difficulty for me are the embellishments on a boys layout. I would like to use the gears from tim holz one time, but as i have a cuttlebug diecut machine i cannot use the tim holz dies.

The paper i used on this layout is the this and that collection by echo park. Really love the papers of this collection. The stickers from the banner ( i backed them on cardstock ) are also from this collection.  As embellishment you will find really old scrabbleletters i had in my stash and woodveneer stars i bought at Xenos, the "copper"embellies i bought at the Knotsgekke kaartendagen in Den Bosch.
I also stamped with my stampers anonymous stamps. I love this set, and have many other sets on my wishlist. Ofcourse all the papers are distressed with my heidi swapp paperdistresser and black sooth ink.

Now i am going to print some photo's for a new layout i am gonna make, with a sketch from the scrapplezier forum as inspiration.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Wooden enveloppe

Hello everyone,

Within a few weeks i have a party at a collegues house because he is married 25 years and his wife became 50 years old. At work my colleques and i decided to give them money, as they requested, but not in a normal enveloppe! I work at a interior construction company so one of my coworkers and the son of another coworker made a big wooden enveloppe and i scrapped it!

I had a lot of fun working on this project because i could use my new woodgrain mask and gesso.
The paper i had in my stash for a really long time so i don't know wich manufacturer made it.

Some flowers i made my self and the roses are wild orchid crafts. I painted them with distressinks, gesso and stickles. The lace is also wild orchid crafts. The brown ribbon i bought at Xenos and the large stamp i downloaded from internet and made it shiny and sturdy with clear heat embossing.
The back of the enveloppe is really simple, just covered it with papers and used a button to make it easier to open the enveloppe. The ovals are nestabilities dies.Oh, and every paper i distressed with black sooth ink.

Now we need to put a card and the money in it and i can wrap it! I hope they will like this present!

I hope you all have a nice day!

Magnolia card with Cupid

Hello everybody,

At this moment i really love to make magnoliacards. Here's a new one i made:

With this card i want to enter the following challenges:

* Simply Magnolia blog:  Pink, white, green and/or blue.
* Magnolia Licious blog: Butterflies and blooms.
* Duymelot blog: Anything goes.

On this card i used gesso to make swirls on the pink polka dot paper and to give texture to the flowers. I made heart embellishments with my spellbinders and other dies. The butterflies i have made from ribbon with a little rose and pearl and a tiny pearl string. As always a lot of stickles glitter and liquid pearls. I coloured the image with my aquamarkers. I left the small banner on the bottom of the card blank so that i can write the appropriate message when i need to send the card out.The big flower and rose and the white leaves are all wild orchid crafts, and the paper is from the follow your heart collection , i can't get enough of it!

I hope you all have a great evening!
