Hello everyone,
Although we have the Sinterklaas party here in the netherlands upcoming week, we are, ofcourse, already busy with Christmas. And as a scrapper some friends and family expect a handmade christmas card! I decided to make some of them in an usual form. The paper i used is from my stash and i do not know from wich manufacturer it is.
I also made a card with non-christmas paper, for the Dutch Card Lover Blog. But i was too late with uploading it to their site, so i am showing it here on my blog now.
I dit a lot of heat embossing on this one and used some really cute rubons from Action.
I still have to make a few cards so you will see another post from me soon to showcase them. I know, it is a picture overload!
Hope you all have a good week and for my readers in the Netherlands, een heel fijn sinterklaasfeest volgende week!!

Little lady at 12
Hello everyone,
It has been over a week since my last post, but finally i am going to show you a layout that i made two weeks ago. Last week i had many obligations so i didn't have time to scrap.
On the layout i scrapped three pictures of my gorgeous daughter. The photo's are made by my good friend Monique Janssen. She did a hell of a job to capture our family in a very beautiful way.
The paper i used is the tea thyme collection by Prima. The large flowers i made myself with the Tim Holtz die tattered florals. I have it a few weeks now, and i am totally addicted. You can make so many styles of flowers with it. The pink roses are foam and i bought them at Xenos. The lace behind the big flower and behind the paper is from wild orchid crafts. The art tiles i made myself and the number 12 is from american crafts (thickers) The big pink flower i had in my stash for a while and i think it's also from Prima, just as the green leaves. Diamond stickles and liquid pearls finished the layout. Here are a few closeups:
I am off to a fun weekend with family and friends now, i hope your weekend will be great too!

Art tiles and bottlecap charms
Hello everyone,
This time no card or layout but two types of embellisments that i made myself. I love the prima art tiles and bottlecapcharmes, but i think they are really expensive and when i saw them i thought that i could easily make them my self.
Here's the result:
For the art tiles i painted little wood squares white with acrylic paint ( thx to Peter my colleque at work who has sawn the little pieces with danger for his own fingers cause we have a large industrial saw at our company). After painting i glued a little piece of paper to it, and then stamped with small acrylic stamps. I distressed the edges with black sooth distress ink and than covered the whole square with glossy accents. After it dries it gives a real hard clear finish.
The bottlecapcharmes are made from simple beerbottlecaps wich my husband has spraypainted black en drew little wholes in so that they can be attached to a chain, ribbon etc. Just as with the art tiles i put a little piece of designerpaper in and stamped it. On the right one i also put two spacers in as flowers. Put a layer of glossy accents in and you're done!
I really love how they turned out and will be making more in the future to put on my projects. I already used 2 of the art tiles ( not on the picture ) on a layout of my daughter with the photo's on from our photoshoot that we did a few weeks ago with our good friend Monique. I will show it on my blog next time!
I hope you all have a nice day!
