Layout for the sketch challenge at Scrapplezier
Hello everyone,
Welcome to my new followers!
This time i am showing you a layout i made for the sketchchallenge for january over at the Scrapplezierforum. I used the Periwinkle collection from Kaisercraft, but you can't see a lot of it anymore because i used so many different mediums on the background.
As you can see i played a lot with my gears die from Tim Holtz. I treated the gears with gold perfect pearls. This was a fun layout to make cause i got to play with sprays, inks, stamps, masks, distress markers and gesso. I got real dirty fingers! :).
Here are a few closeups:
I hope you all have a nice week!

DCL Challenge 170: With love
Hello everyone,
This week i decided to make an entry for the challenge 170 from the Dutch Card Lovers Blog.
This is what i came up with;
This is the sketch it is based on;
I used papers from an older DCWV stack and an older valentine stamp from Magnolia. I love her little antenna's.I colored her with my distress markers. The white heart is made from cardstock covered with fabric from a doily. Some flowers from wild orchid crafts and ofcourse stickles and liquid pearls. I cannot live without them!!
Some details:
I think it has become a sweet valentine card!
It was fun to use the nice sketch from the DCL blog, i am planning to use them more.
I hope you all have a nice week!

Mailart
Hello everyone,
On the scrapplezier forum we had a mailartswap this month. I never made a mailart before so it was quite challenging. I made my mailart for Joukje, who is a talented crafter herself so it was very exciting.
I used glimmermist, and a crafters workshop template with black sooth distress ink for the envelope. I also glued some papers on it ( Prima nature garden ) and added liquid pearls and a bit of glitter.
Of course i made her a matching card to go with it.
And here are they a little bit closer:
Joukje has already received it in the mail and she was very happy with it! What a releive! Lol.
I hope you have a wonderful week. Here in the Netherlands it is snowing very hard, very beautiful outside!

Tag inspired by Finnabair.
Hello everyone,
I hope you all have had a good end of the year. We celebrated with friends and had a delicious dinner with them. The kids enjoyed the fireworks!
During the holidays i booked a workshop at a scrapbookstore nearby. It's a mixed media workshop from the very talented Anna Dubrowska (Finnabair). We are going to make a layout, but i have to be very patient because it is in May.
When i looked at her website i saw a video she made for life with Prima, in which she made a mixed media tag. I thought i would give it a try. I used some scraps from my stash for this tag and some masking tape. After i distressed the papers and inked them up with black sooth ink i began to place the embellishments. On the dangling tag i used some lace and a keyhole i bought recently. On the large tag i used flowers, twine, an old button and a brad. All over both of the tags i glued some wood veneer stars. After everything dried i sprayed the tag with mists. I used a blue and green mist and a mist i made from pearlised water with many drops of black sooth distress reinker. It didn't turn out very black but it turned out really dark grey and i liked the effect.
My camera does not catch the colors very well. They are much brighter in real life!
In the empty pin from Tim Holtz i can put a sentiment when i know to who i am going to send this tag! I participate in a birthday swap at the Scrapplezier forum so maybe i am going to use this tag for this.
I hope you all have a great week.
